It removes contaminants such as lead, cyst, turbidity,toxaphene, asbestos, atrazine, lindane, benzene, carbofuran, p-dichlorobenzene and mercury. Retains beneficial fluoride and is NSF Certified. This should be replaced every 12 months or when system light indicates. Whirlpool uses this as the replacement for Puriclean II Water Filter Kit.
