KX Industries MATRIKX® VOC Extruded Activated Carbon Block Filter:
"The Chlorine Taste and Odor Guzzler"

KX MATRIKX VOC filter is made from coconut shell carbon, which creates what many believe to be a sweeter tasting water. Because of the unique pore structure of this carbon, it is well-suited for chemical adsorption, including VOCs, and chlorine taste and odor. KX MATRIKX VOC filters provide 2 Micron nominal particulate filtration and extended life as a fine sediment filter.

The service life of a KX MATRIKX VOC filter is greatly extended by an outer layer of prefiltration medium and will operate effectively in most installations without prefiltration. The KX MATRIKX VOC is ideal for home and food service applications where improving the taste of water is the primary objective.

This filter can also be used as prefiltration to a Reverse Osmosis System.

Adavantages of Carbon Block vs. GAC Carbon

MATRIKX VOC filters consist of activated carbon particles fused into a uniform block with enhanced adsorptive capacity and efficiency. MATRIKX and flow in a radial (outside-to-inside) direction, providing increased dirt-holding capacity and low pressure drop. Unlike granular activated carbon (GAC) filters, MATRIKX VOC cartridges will not channel or bypass due to the extreme uniformity of their extruded activated carbon core. Service life of the MATRIKX VOC filter is greatly extended by a prefiltration medium.
